Zoo Negara or Malaysia National Park is managed by the Malaysian Zoological Society, a non-governmental organization established to establish the first domestic zoo for Malaysians. The zoo was officially opened on November 14, 1963, and has become a well-known zoo all over the world, with more than 5,137 animals of 476 species, including mammals, birds, reptiles, amphibians and fish.
