Standing in Budapest is a 10-foot-tall limestone sculpture designed in the conspicuous oval shape of the numerical number zero. This sculpture indicates the reference point from which the distances of all roads to Budapest are measured, and is also shown on highway signs across the country. The zero rests on a four-sided base marked "KM" and is surrounded by the names and distances of Hungarian towns and cities set in the ground, radiating from the base towards their respective locations.
