This garden was built in 1557 AD by Governor Ban Yeon Don as a park for his father, then the garden was purchased by a group of merchants who cleaned and renovated the lands in 1780 AD. This park was exposed to some external influences that led to the destruction of some of its original statues and monuments, but it was restored in 1842 AD, and it is now considered one of the city's national symbols. Yu Garden also houses a lot of artistic sculptures distributed among trees and green plants, in addition to the presence of colorful fish in its own water pond.
