Located in the center of Busan, the 49-meter-high Mount Yeongdosan is one of the city's three famous mountains. It overlooks the sea through a dense pine tree forest. Its summit is shaped like a dragon's head, protecting the area from foreign invaders. The mountain contained a Shrines to mountain gods built by the Japanese before liberation, and now is home to a variety of monuments, including Yeongdosan Garden, which offers a stunning view of Busan Harbor and the surrounding landscape.
