Yeongdo Lighthouse is located in Taejeongdae Park in Busan. It was built in December 1906 as a guiding light for ships around Busan port for more than 100 years. The old lighthouse was replaced by a new one in 2004 and its facilities were upgraded, making the site a popular marine tourist attraction in the city. The newly built site consists of a lighthouse, an art gallery, a natural history gallery and an observation deck. The white cylindrical lighthouse is 35 meters high, and its rays can be seen from a distance of up to 40 kilometers. It is also possible to climb to the roof of the lighthouse to enjoy a magical panoramic view of the surrounding landscape.
