Information about Yakutia Madrasa
Yakutia Madrasah is one of the many Madrasas that characterize the city of Erzurum, which was built in the year 1310 AD by Emir Haji Jamal al-Din Yaqout, during the reign of Ilhanli, the governor of Ulkaytu. This school is the largest of the madrasas with a closed courtyard, iwan and portico in Anatolia, and it is one of the few examples that has preserved its existence until today, with its unique decorations and inscriptions, which are visited by thousands of local and foreign tourists every year.
