In 2013, and through the merger of the University’s Center for Environmental and Natural Sciences and the Center for Agricultural Biology, the Winter Garden was established, this distinctive environmental project, which aims to become an educational, methodological and research base, as it ensures the improvement of the quality of teaching environmental and natural history disciplines and conducting environmental education. The park is located in the heart of a district of Brest and includes a communal indoor garden, meeting and event space and artist accommodation. The garden has a distinctive architectural design, where the greenhouses, custom covers and light blocking strips, which are integrated together in functions for a distinctive plant production.
