The Windmills of Kinderdijk are a group of 19 huge windmills, built between 1738-1740, and classified as the largest assemblage of ancient windmills in the Netherlands as well as one of the most popular tourist sites in it, and it is listed as a National Monument in 1993 The entire area was considered a protected village, while it was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1997, and tourists can head to the area to see the huge mills and learn about their history.
