Lake Wildense, this characteristic natural mountain lake, is located in Mittenwald in Bavaria, 2.5 km northwest of the city, at an altitude of 1136 meters above sea level. It is only two meters deep and is one of the warmest bathing lakes in the region. Emerald is warm all year round, and is intended by tourists for recreational or even medicinal purposes.
