At its inception in 1978, this restaurant was a small falafel stand, and the townspeople chose the name of the restaurant, "The Wide Heart". Over the decades, the restaurant became very popular and expanded and became one of the best and most famous restaurants in Eilat. Since the owner of the restaurant died in 2006, his family took over the business and kept the same recipes that their father left for them.
