The White Desert is one of the natural treasures of the Arab Republic of Egypt. It was named after its white sand and terrain resulting from the climate change that the region has been subjected to from 70 million years ago to the present day. This wonderful desert embraces the so-called "chicken and mushroom", which is a large white rock. This desert is an open museum to study the desert environment and geographical phenomena, and it was declared a nature reserve in 2002, in order to preserve it and start its own excavations.
