A stunning castle, first mentioned in archaeological manuscripts from 1295, is one of the most important monuments in the village of Attersen near Interlaken, and the surrounding natural area has been designated a UNESCO protected site. The castle is in very good condition, as the walls and the staircases are still standing, despite the passage of more than 800 years since its foundation.
