The skyline of Chisinau is a mixture of contemporary urban and historical architecture. The historical monuments scattered throughout the city make Chisinau an ideal place for a distinguished historical trip. One of the most famous of these is the Water Tower. This historical and architectural landmark was built at the end of the nineteenth century by Alexander Bernardazzi, who formed an essential part of the local water supply system, nowadays, the recently renovated building hosts the Historical Museum in Chisinau.
