The Water Castle is located in Freiburg, Germany. The facade is only a disguise, behind it there is no real castle with a prince and a chariot, but there is plenty of water; Since 1895 there has been a high-level reservoir serving the drinking water supply in eastern Freiburg as small canals in the centre, and the water flows without pumps into the houses only through a natural gradient. The design model was Freiburg's city seal from 1245, and the fountain in the front of the castle provides a beautiful view.
