Information about Wat Thang Sai
Wat Tang Sai is a magnificent temple built in 1996 to celebrate 50 years of King Bhumibol Adulyadej's rule. It contains 9 pagodas representing His Majesty King Rama IX. His statue can be seen sitting atop Tung Chai Mountain overlooking Ban Beach. Grod, the temple complex also contains some beautiful gardens, a large golden Buddha statue, and some satanic statues, which do not represent evil as in the Western world, but rather the good forces that act as guards.
