The war memorial, which takes the form of a tower, is located on the front of the beautiful Lake Como, and was built in 1926 AD in order to honor and commemorate the soldiers who died in World War I, and its height reaches 33 meters, and bears the names of 650 warriors, and was placed on its front facade. An inscription that reads, “The city glorifies its children with karst stones, 1915-1918.” Its rear façade bears the words, “Tonight we sleep in Trieste or in heaven with the heroes.”
