Symi still preserves the memory of its heroic sons who lost their lives defending it with the war memorial located in its port, which is one of its most important sites. Tourists can pass by this monument and take beautiful souvenir photos of them in front of it while walking by the sea, when passing through the port area or on their way to eat delicious Greek food at one of the nearby restaurants.
