Wanbei World Safari Zoo is located in Tainan and was established in 1994. It is the first wild zoo in Asia and the first zoo that won a tourism medal. The park focuses on research, conservation, entertainment and education, and extends over an area of 20 hectares to contain more than 300 animals from all over the world, and there are displays of trained animals. The zoo houses the largest collection of amphibian reptiles in the world, with more than 200 species of amphibian reptiles. Additionally, there are raccoons, pandas and many other endangered animals in the park.
