Wahiba Sands is a vast desert south of the Omani city of Tire in the middle of the Omani coast and extends to the south. The sand dunes in it reach 100 meters in length and 170 km in length. There are many camps in this desert where you can camp, live the desert experience, ride camels and watch the amazing sunset. . The area is defined as 180 km from north to south and 80 km from east to west with a total area of 12,500 km². The Wahiba Sands, also known as the Eastern Sands, are named after the Bani Wahiba tribe that inhabits them.
