With a free fall of 145 metres, Föring Waterfall is one of the most visited tourist attractions in Norway. Watching the vast amounts of water from the Hardangervidda plateau fall into the Mabudalin Valley is an impressive sight in a natural and idyllic setting; This valley is narrow and steep, extending from Edfjord to Hardangervidda, where you can see the waterfall from the bottom of the valley. There were several roads passing through Mapudalene and in 1780 stone steps were built to make the journey easier.
