Located in Long Bay, Auckland, the Vaughan Homestead Historical Museum has been an integral part of the community since the beginning of European settlement and has been used by George Vaughan and his descendants as their home for 100 years, cultivating nearly 2,000 acres. From the grounds in the surrounding areas, and after several years of work, the house has been converted into a museum open to the public, displaying tools, antiquities, books and photos illustrating the development of Auckland over the years, so don't forget to visit it to learn about the history of this amazing city.
