The Vallarta Dancers is one of the most prominent and famous statues and sculptures in Puerto Vallarta. American artist Jim Demetro was inspired to create this magnificent statue in 2000 when he saw a Mexican dance troupe performing the Mexican hat dance on the Malecon. The sculpture consists of a couple dressed in traditional Mexican costume performing a regional dance that Mexico is famous for, and says it is his most challenging work yet.
