A multidisciplinary cultural center, the building was built in 1916 and is designed in the Italianate style under the direction of the Italian architect Juan Chiogna. The building was used as a power station by the Italian-Argentine Electric Company for many years, and then opened as a cultural center in 2012 The project was funded by the government of Buenos Aires, inspired by international renovation projects, and the center contains a symphony hall with a capacity of 1200 meters, equipped with the latest sound facilities and multiple spaces dedicated to dancing.
