At 2,850 feet above sea level, the Uetliberg mountain towers above the rooftops of Zurich and offers a magnificent panoramic view of the city, lake and surrounding Alps. This charming mountain is very popular with locals and tourists, especially in the month of November, as its summit often offers an amazing view of the sea of mist that can cover the entire city at this time of year. In the summer, enjoy the many hiking trails, mountain bike routes and the Planet Trail that takes you two hours on a fascinating tour through a model of our solar system, while in winter the hiking trails to the summit are converted into ski runs. It is worth noting that the summit of the Oetliberg can only be reached by train, and trains run regularly from Zurich Central Station and take about 30 minutes, or you can go by car to the Oetliberg train station and from there take a train to the top of the summit, and the journey takes about 8 minutes.
