Information about Tuscan Archipelago National Park
Established in 1996, the Tuscan Archipelago National Park covers an area of 79,160 hectares, and is located between the provinces of Livorno and Grosseto in the Tuscany region. The park has a unique mixture of land and water, as the land covers only 22% of the garden, while the water covers an area of 78%, because the park is made up of small sprawling islands. It is a naturally diverse park, where visitors will find various types of traditional Tuscan trees and plants. It is also considered a biologically diverse area, where many types of protected birds such as the seagull live. There are many paths in the park to suit all groups and tastes, as well as cycle paths.
