Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum is the memorial site of the S-21 interrogation and detention center of the Khmer Rouge, located in the heart of Phnom Penh and reflecting a tragic period in the city's history, where it served as the central hub of a vast prison system across the country and throughout the period as a secret place of detention, interrogation and torture and to exterminate those considered political enemies of the regime, this museum aims to encourage visitors to be messengers of peace.
