Information about Torre del Oro
It is a military lighthouse dating back to the time of the Romans, in the 13th century, overlooking the Guadalquivir River. The lighthouse was used in the Middle Ages as a prison and a two-style military watchtower. Its name is also inspired by the fact that it was plated with gold when it was built, in 1755.
