Tojanji Temple is a temple of the Soto Zen sect of Japanese Buddhism, the temple in Nagoya includes an impressive 15-meter-tall statue. Its grounds contain a Shiva-lingam and shrine dedicated to Goddess Saraswati, and also contain a huge wooden block that is said to cleanse the past if touched with one hand. The temple is very quiet and surrounded by thick bushes. Although the temple grounds are small, there is a Chinese-style gate, an ancient pine tree, and a thick bamboo grove.
