Tlos is an ancient Lycian fortress located on a hilltop near the city of Fethiye in Mugla Province in southern Turkey about 4 km northwest of the Saklikent Strait. It is believed to have been one of the most important Lycian religious sites. Lycian settlement at this site is said to have begun more than It is 4000 years old, making it one of the oldest and largest settlements in the region, and was then inhabited by the Romans, Byzantines and eventually the Ottoman Turks, and its ruins are visible today, and it is a popular tourist destination in Turkey.
