The State Museum of Oriental Art houses one of the world's most important and luxurious collections of oriental art. It is famous for being one of the largest cultural institutions in the world for the preservation, study and analysis of oriental art. It was built at the beginning of the nineteenth century. It is located in the heart of the capital, Moscow, in a historic palace known as the House of Two colors, and contains more than 160,000 artifacts brought from more than 100 countries around the world.
