The State Museum of Art is the largest state art museum in Uzbekistan, with its permanent collection containing thousands of outstanding works by local and international artists. Among the museum's exhibits, visitors will find statues, clothing, embroideries, ceramics, mosaics, pottery, woodwork, abstract paintings and much more. It is an ancient museum with a long history, as it was established in 1918 and was initially affiliated with the city university, and then it was expanded and its name changed to the State Museum of Art.
