public square in Brisbane, It was opened in 1984, and is one of the city's most prominent landmarks . The square is located between Queen Street and Adelaide Street, and covers an area of 3,300 square metres. Below it is a shopping center and car park. Just in front of the General Post Office is the plaza, a beautiful sandstone building, dating from 1872, which was home to the Queensland Museum for a period in the 19th century. This square is a distinctive destination, adorned with garden trees and wonderful roses, and also includes a beautiful fountain, in addition to the memorial to Sir William Glasgow, which was transferred to the square in 2008.
