The Paul Revere House, built in 1680 AD, was home to founding American patriot Paul Revere during the American Revolution, and is the oldest house in downtown Boston. The 3-story building was home to a silversmith and the Boston River from 1770 AD to 1800 AD, and subsequently became home to various shops and businesses over the years. Later, the house was opened to the public as one of the oldest historic house museums in Boston and the United States.
