Palace Garden is one of the largest gardens in the Norwegian capital, in the city of Oslo, surrounding the Royal Palace on all sides. It is also a protected cultural monument and is managed by the palace gardener. It features grassy areas and flower-filled spaces as well as majestic old trees. It is a popular resting place with tourists and city dwellers alike. The park was developed simultaneously with the construction of the royal palace in the mid-19th century.
