Information about The Napoleon Museum
The Napoleon Museum in Cuba is the result of a mixture of pieces taken from the personal collections of Julio Lobo and Orestes Ferrara. The artifacts and memorabilia in the gallery were purchased at auction during the first half of the 20th century and represent the most important collection of Napoleon in Central America. The collection was declared a national heritage in 1960 and then the museum was opened to the public the following year. The museum contains books, clothes, weapons and artworks dating back to the Neapolitan era, representing the largest collection outside Europe dedicated to the legacy of Napoleon Bonaparte.
