The Museum of Ceramic Trade is worth a trip just to see the beautifully restored timber house in which the museum is located. Upon entering it, you will discover a wide range of Chinese, Vietnamese and Japanese ceramics found during archaeological excavations in the area, dating mainly from the period between the eighteenth and eighteenth centuries. . The museum is located in the Old Quarter of Hoi An and offers a cultural view of the city's history and foreign relations with Asian counterparts including Japan, China and India. There is also a range of wonderful drawings on display that show the different types of architecture found in Hoi An along with a detailed history of the life and times of this ancient city that was once a very important commercial center.
