This is the mausoleum of the spiritual leader of the Ismailis, a Shiite sect (like the Fatimids) based primarily in India and with followers all over the world. It is a very elegant pink granite structure dating back to the late 1950's, which also resembles the Fatimid tombs in Cairo. The mausoleum has a great view and the white villa of the Aga Khan below is also stunning, and is located near the Monastery of Saint Simeon on the west bank of Aswan.
