The Orthodox Monastery of the Holy Trinity Sergius Lavra is surrounded by walls dating back to the fourteenth century AD, and many locals and foreign tourists visit it, in order to enjoy its golden domes, magnificent architectural design and frescoes from the middle of the seventeenth century AD, as well as its interior walls decorated with lamps and artistic icons Painted by the medieval painter Andrei Rublyov and his students, it is home to the tomb of St. Sergius.
