As a symbol of respect for the band's popularity and global appeal, especially in the former Soviet republics, the great artist Eduard Kazaryan established the Beatles Monument in Almaty in 2007. It is a bronze sculpture of famous Beatles singers John, Paul and George and Ringo sitting on a bench near the Kok Tobi Mountains to greet tourists and hikers.
