Information about The ancient city of Syedra
An ancient coastal city, located on the southern coast of modern Turkey, dating back to the 7th century BC. Among the most important preserved buildings in Sidra are the impressive baths, a gymnasium, a colonnaded street, five water reservoirs, an ancient temple, a Byzantine church, and an olive oil workshop. Unfortunately, nothing remains of the ancient theater, but still Traces of houses and workshops dating back to the Roman era are present. There is also an interesting cave, where converts were baptized in the early ages of Christianity, which is decorated with frescoes, the remains of which can be seen on the walls.
