Tara Canyon or the valley of the Tara River is one of the deepest valleys in Europe and the second deepest canyon in the world after the Grand Canyon in the United States of America, with a length of 78 kilometers and a depth of 1,300 meters. Covering an area of 36,000 hectares protected by UNESCO, this valley is replete with brightly colored rivers and glacial lakes, mountains, green peaks, white waterfalls and flowers of various colors, along with centuries-old houses. When visiting Tara Canyon, many fun activities can be practiced, such as kayaking, climbing, hiking and even swimming and snorkeling. It should be noted that this valley can be visited from mid-April to the beginning of October.
