The Japanese army forced the villagers to create a road from Chiang Mai to Mae Hong Son, and the road met in the Tai Bai River area near the village of Tai Bai, so a bridge was built using elephants that dragged tree trunks from the forest, but in 1946 World War II ended and he left Japanese soldiers burned the bridge, and in 1973, the locals rebuilt the bridge and named it the World War II Memorial Bridge, and it lasted for several decades later until it was destroyed by severe floods that hit the Bay area, and in 1976, the bridge was reconstructed to become known as "Tai Bridge" Bay" and remains for the new generation a reminder of the history of the region.
