On the outskirts of the village of Zumulia near the city of Eger is the picturesque Zumolia Beehive Nature Reserve, which includes eight distinct hive stones (huge beehive-like stones) with 117 niches, and many legends and scientific theories have been born about the purpose of these niches, the identity of their makers, and the era. in which they were made, and one common assumption is that the hive stones were tombstones, with urns containing the ashes of the deceased in the niches. Interestingly, these stones are surrounded by a meadow of beautiful wildflowers which is now home to a large beehive, and this area is ideal for picnics and hiking.
