The central building of the Budapest University of Technology and Economics was built between 1902-1909 according to the design of Alajos Hauszmann. The assembly hall on the riverfront was badly damaged in World War II, and during the reconstruction it was divided; The Skinny Theater moved upstairs. A theater suitable for independent theatrical productions was reconstructed by architecture student László Vidolovics' plan in 1968.
