The Suwoncheon River is a tributary of the Hwanggujicheon River, which empties into the Gwangju Reservoir, and is Suwon's main water source. This river is surrounded by vast green spaces and mature trees. People come to relax near it or to practice various activities inside it, such as kayaking, fishing or swimming in one of the small water pools behind it and many more.
