The Sultan’s Armed Forces Museum is located in the Bait Al Falaj - Darsait area of the Wilayat of Muttrah in the Governorate of Muscat. It is approximately 29 kilometers from Muscat International Airport. The museum is located in the Bait Al Falaj Castle, and Bait Al Falaj Castle is located in its majestic form at the far northern end of Wadi Ruwi. It is an area surrounded by lofty mountains with difficult paths built of a square shape topped by two towers. The museum includes an important group of exhibits that tell the luminous military aspects of the glorious Omani history from different stages from pre-Islam to contemporary history, and among these exhibits are traditional weapons, modern weapons, and some documents and manuscripts. Several exhibitions have been created inside the museum that present a historical journey of the Omani Armed Forces through history.
