The Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque is located in Sohar, and was named after His Highness Sultan Qaboos bin Said Al Said. The mosque was built on an area of 181,000 square meters, and the construction area is 28,778 square meters, and the main prayer hall can accommodate more than 4,600 worshipers, in When the women’s area can accommodate 740 worshipers, the mosque contains a garden, three main entrances, four minarets and a blue main dome. It also incorporates wood in its interior design, and the mihrab features beautiful tiles of turquoise and gold color.
