Information about Suleymaniye Camii
A historical mosque, built during the reign of the first Anatolian Seljuk Sultan Alaeddin Keykubad, as part of a campaign to rebuild the city in 1231, but it was destroyed by a lightning strike, and Sultan Suleiman Khan I, rebuilt it in the sixteenth century, during the Ottoman period, but kept it on the same design The ancient one, in terms of its structure, shape, dome, stones, and wooden decorations. The dome, divided into three diagonal arches, and covered with three small domes, constitutes the main feature of the mosque. A minaret was added to the northwest corner for women, and a domed cistern was built opposite the northeast corner, next to which there is a covered place to perform ablutions.
