Information about Stifts Church
The Stifts Church is the oldest building in the old city of Baden-Baden, which is located in the south of the Black Forest, and dates back to 987. Its architecture is characterized by a design that combines the Romanesque, Gothic and Baroque character, and includes within it sacred works of art, including the cross carved from stone by the famous sculptor. Niklaus Gerhaert, where about 14 tombs were also found, dating back to a period spanning 5 centuries, from the Middle Ages to the Baroque and even classical.
