The medieval church located in the middle of Tombia Hill is one of the most impressive historical monuments in Estonia. Established sometime before 1233 and repeatedly rebuilt since then, the church displays a stunning blend of architectural styles. Its main vaulted structure dates back to the 14th century, while its Baroque tower was an addition from the late 1770s, and historically was the church of the elite of the German nobles in Estonia—a fact that becomes clear as soon as you step through the doors.
